If an artist can create the most fragile line with the help of a tip of a fine brush, needle worker who works with a needle and thread has to adapt the stitches so it would create an illusion of a fine brush strokes, color patterns and light & shade effects to maintain the same miniature proportion and details that are visible in the original drawing, picture or sketch on bases of which the embroidery is worked. For example these embroidered birds are only 3 – 4 cm in height while I kept all of the original details and proportions. I embroidered these birds and then worked them into brooches.
